I hope everyone is having a great Summer! Just a quick FYI about our upcoming Hoops for the Troops event in September.
As you know we have been supporting our soldiers with the annual Hoops for the Troops clinic. This year we will be donating all of the proceeds to
United for the Troops (www.unitedforthetroops.org) UFT is a great organization that sends care packages to our troops serving overseas. In the past
few years they have managed to collect, pack and send over 10,000 boxes of donated items to some very gracious soldiers in the Middle East.
This years event will be held on Friday September 11, 2015 at the Parsons Gym in Milford from 6:30-9pm. We have a great team of coaches already lined up.
We are limiting the event to the first 75 paidboys and girls between the ages of 6-14, due to the gym capacity and to keep it fun and safe for all. Registration is $30
per child and each participant will receive a brand new Rock Basketball and have a chance to win many other prizes. Players can be registered online at
www.hoopskillsbasketball.com at our Hoops for the Troops link. Please complete the form and submit it as soon as possible to avoid getting shut out!
Our friends from United for the Troops will be there to help coordinate the event and as always we will have some great raffle prizes and souvenirs for everyone to win, so bring a friend. I wanted to give my Hoopskills Basketball loyals first dibs on this great event and hope that many of you will be able to join us. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
